| Sisal Flooring |
|
Sans Frontieres are specialists in the natural market field. We supply only the finest quality products produced in Europe by Tasibel NV.
Sisal is a leaf of the agave sisalana plant. The fibres are extracted by crushing the pulpy leaves which are then washed, dried and graded. All our sisal products use the superior long stable fibres from East Africa. The African fibres are shipped to the factory where are dyed and spun into yarn them finally woven into carpet. The origin of the fibre and the sophistication of manufacture ensure an attractive yet durable hardwearing carpet suitable for both domestic and commercial use.

Pulp is harvested from ecologically managed conferous softwoods, a resin is added in the spinning process to give it extra moisture resitance. It is spun into fine durable yarn which is then woven into carpet.
The result is a stylish hard wearing flooring that is easy to clean and maintain. It is woven in the USA to a 3.66 metres width and finished in Europe. Rugs can be produced to any size with any number of finishes.

Woven Decorwool rugs made to customers size requirements unlimited widths and lengths. All of our products can also be purchased as broaloom. Most qualities are 100% New Zealand wool, some with a mixture of other yarns such as silk and natural goat hair to give an individual apperance and soft luxurious feel under foot. The use of pure new wool means that our rugs will keep their apperance and retain their softness.

Numerous items in the Sans Frontieres sisal collection are avaliable as bordered rugs. We offer you the opportunity to cover your floors almost completly with natural (detachable) carpet. It is also the most natural way to embelish your chosen location. You can chose a rug in a quality, a colour and size as you wish up to 6 metres long and 4 metres wide and you can make a choice of matching borders in cotton, chenille, alcantra, imatation leather and natural leather. Your rug will be made according to the required design and measuremens. The border are applied on a frame and filled with felt in order to aviod an impression of the structure. The corners are stiched blind and loaded to make them less vulnerable during vacuuming.
